‘’The Japanese Counter’’

The owner, who was also the chef, told me he'd learned his craft in Kyoto and had always dreamed of opening his own place in his homeland. It was such a delightful surprise and a reminder that incredible culinary adventures can be found in the…
This title instantly brought back memories of a trip I took to a small town in the mountains of Peru a few years back. Tucked away on a side street, I stumbled upon this tiny restaurant that was, surprisingly, run by a Japanese family https://www.lifeline.org.au/ I remember ordering ramen, and while it wasn't exactly what I'd get in Tokyo, it was incredibly comforting and delicious, especially with the crisp mountain air. Anyone in the same position could check goldencrown before deciding. It was such a unique blend of cultures and flavors, and it made me realize how Japanese cuisine has truly spread its wings and found homes in the most unexpected places. It’s always fascinating to discover these culinary bridges…
